Delete your account in the app
- Open the ⋯ menu (the three-dot button at the top right of the screen, labelled Settings).
- In the Settings drawer, under Account, tap Delete Account.
- Read the warning and tap I Understand, Continue, type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete My Account.
What is deleted, and when
When you confirm, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion in 30 days. During those 30 days your profile is withdrawn from the member gallery and the account is still recoverable.
After 30 days a scheduled job permanently deletes:
- your profile photographs and your verification selfie;
- your dossier, including your verification records;
- your connections and your conversations;
- your login record.
This cannot be undone. The same job asks our analytics service to erase your analytics data; the service deletes the events in a weekly batch, so they go within about a week after that. Error reports carry only your member ID and the technical details of the fault, and expire automatically. Our Privacy Policy describes how long other records are kept.
If you cannot open the app
You can ask for your account to be deleted without the app. Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@courtship.club, give the phone number registered to your account so we can identify you, and ask for it to be deleted. This is a request that a person handles; deleting it in the app is the faster route. We acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours.
